Frankly speaking, these courses were very hard!! But through these courses, I have learned various things. These courses will needed patience and effort. After then, you will be able to acquire something!!
In English Teaching Methodology Ⅱ, I used a textbook "Second Language Acquisition" written by Rod Ellis. This textbook is written about second language learners, the knack of learning second language, the process of learning second language and so on. These contents were very difficult for me to understand. Although I could not understand all things, I have guessed many things by myself and absorbed them. In taking this course, you will have to prepare for the next class. If you have a lot of time, you will had better do a review of the last class. Also I taught students of an elementary school (Nakano elementary school) English. This lesson was the second time for me. I made some groups and elaborated the lesson plan. I was worried about the lesson and nervous. However I thought that I could do my best and have a good experience. Maybe when you finish this course, you will have an opinion as me. So cheer up!!
In English Teaching Methodology Ⅲ, I learned how to teach English and communicate in the English classroom. I was very shy, so sometimes I felt nervous. But as I made some stages, I was accustomed to stand in front of the classmates and speak to them. This was very big change and a turning point for me. I taught a foreigner English. Then I prepared for the lesson hard, but I felt that teaching a foreign language was very difficult. My group's lesson was a lack of explanation and difficult to understand. So the learner was confused. I regret very much and I thought that I must learn a lot of things more!! Though I failed, I could find what I should do.
These courses are contained some difficulties but classmates will help if you are in trouble. So never give up!!! Good luck to you☆
Thank you very much for 1 year, Mr. Hall m(_ _)m

Besides as a happy bonus I became to be able to deal with a computer well \(^-^)/

About Team KMKM's lesson

Good Points:
I thought that their introduction was effective, because they were related the lesson. I like their short play. They imitated character's voice in the picture. It was very interesting! If they showed this short play in an elementary school or a junior high school, students will be interested in the lesson. As I thought that this was a very important point, they were great!! All their activities were devised. I also enjoyed the group work. The check test was also useful. The test was contained new idea, listening and being writing on a white board in front of the classroom. Maybe Mr.Naim would have a good time and be able to learn new grammar. Whenever I stood in front of classroom, I tensed very much. I felt it was very difficult to teach people languages, because people have their mother tongue. So people learning new languages is not easy.Today I gave the lesson as a teacher, I really thought so.
Although we planned for the lesson and did our best, Mr.Naim was very confused. So I was also botherd what I should have done. There were a lack of our explanation. We should have better explain more with Japanese and confirm. Mr.Naim seemed to have been confused these subject "he/she." We should have teach that "he" was used boys or men and "she" was used girls or women.
I had many regrets for the lesson but we had a good experience. type='text'>About Team T's Lesson

1)Good points
They played a short play some times and tried to make a student to notice the point of this unit. After the student noticed the point, they played a short play again. This was effective. The student couldn't understand English,so they used not only English but also Japanese.Through this,I thought that the student would be able to translate from English into Japanese.
I thought that the repetition practice of Team T's lesson was devided. There were some stages,a teacher and students, only students, and only a student by a sitting line. Also, they changed the speed of the repetition practice.I thought that the rhythm and the stages were important for the repetition practice.
They took in the partner practice. This way is interesting and practical. After then,They made students to present in front of the classmates.
Besides, they made students to do not only the pronounciation practice but also writing. These were very good, because I think that both pronounciation and writing are important.
2)A little bit bad points
Though it was good for them to use both English and Japanese,if they used only English and asked the student "what situation did they play?"This would be too difficult for a student to understand.
I type='text'>About The Grammatical Elements

1.Which of the grammatical elements was easiest for you to learn as a student?
I thought that 助動詞　is easiest for me to learn, because they doesn't change, that is,a same form is used whoever is based on the place of the subject. However all 助動詞 is not easy.助動詞　has some different meanings and nuances.
Be動詞　is also easy. But be動詞 changes by the subject.Be動詞　is easy to translate English into Japanese. So the meanings of be動詞 don't need remembering.

2.What was the most difficult for you to understand?
I thought that 現在完了　is the most difficult for me to understand, because the grammar has 3 uses. They are 継続　完了　過去.The uses are very difficult .I always consider which uses should be used in this case.Besides,現在形 and 継続,　過去形　and 完了形 are very similar each other, but a little different.

3.As a teacher, which of the grammar do you have confidence in teaching?
The grammar which I understand properly is easy to teach. So my confidence in teaching is　助動詞 and be動詞.The reason is written on question No.1.

4.Which grammmar do you think will be difficult for you?
Almost grammar has some difficulties in teaching, because I didn't understamd all grammar prooperly when I was a junior high school teacher.Particularly,現在完了　difficult for me to teach. The reason is also written on question No.2.
Even if I understand by myself well,Icannot explain to anyone nicely. So this is fatal as a teacher.
Since my knowledge is few basically,I worry about it.Also I don't have English vocabulary so much.I think that I should study and want to study English more and more fron now.
About Sniffle's Lesson

Sniffle's lesson was very activity! So I enjoyed their lesson and it benefited me.
Good Points:
First, they played a drama. Then, they used pictures of hamburgers, juices and moneys. It was easy to understand the situation and the prices. When they spoke a part, they emphasized numbers, for example paying and counting money, and ordering money.
Second, they made students pronounced again and again.Gradually, they raised speeds of the pronounciation. These were also very nice ways.Besides, they made a list and pointed it when students pronounced.By doing that, students could pronounce seeing the spells and the numbers, and listening teacher's pronounciation,I thought that it was good to pronounce in due course and at random.
Third, when they had something in their hand, they made students said the numbers and taught how to say plural. Also, they made students said the numbers written on a blackboard.
Fourth, they asked students and made them answered."How to say?""This is."
Fifth,they reacted student's responses."Yes.""Good.""NO.""Excellent."
Improvement />When I joined a Spanish class about 2 weeks ago,Mr.Hall talked about familiar topic. So I could understand some Spanish words. If he talked about some specialties,I would not be able to understand it.Gesture is necessary for us not only to learn foreign langusges but also to convey something.Visuals:Pictures and Charts are very effective in explaning something.Family tree was easy to understand.
No.9:
I thouught that No.9 is all effective. As most of them appeal to student's sight, they would be able to enjoy and interested in it.
No.10:
I thought that using real thing and using the black board are good.Last class Mr.Hall explained the name of body regions and we imitated his action. So I could take pleasure in learning.I thought that teacher should write important things down the bl ack board.By that, students will be able to confirm them many times.

Which points of this lesson did you disagree or did So it was difficult for me to distinguish and memolize them.
The initial letters in English and in Spanish were same or similar, for example madre and padre (mother and father).
Some of Spanish symmetry words were similar, for example abuela and abuelo (grandmother and grandfather), madastra and padastro (stepmother and stepfather), hijo and hija (son and daughter) and so on.
These are a little easy to understand.
Besides, it was very good for Mr.Hall to repeat same words and draw a diagram.
2) I could underatand a few Spanish words. I thought that There are many articles in Spanish sentenses. I thought that English grammar and Spanish grammar were similar, especially word order.
3) It was very hard for me to be a beggining foreign language student. My mother tongue is Japanese and my second language is English. If I learn Spanish from now, I will be confused. Because I think that the 3 foreign languages will mix in my brain!! It is a little good for Spanish and English to be a little similar. If the foreign language which I have learned already and a new foreign language which I will learn from now are very different, the study will be more hard and difficult.
But I think that it is good to learn new languages. Though it is hard to learn them, we can acquire them if we study hard.
The point which we learn new languages is lose preoccupation for different languages. p

Eigo Kyouikuhou 3 Part 3

Questions : Please tell me about the difficulties of teaching English in an elementary school.
Please tell me about the differences of teaching English between in an elementary school and in a junior high school.
Opinions : When we teach En glish in an elementary school, it is difficult to convey the English interest. In English education of an elementary school, I think that it is impossible to understand different cultures than to acquire English knowledge. At first, I want students to li ke English and to know English interest. But in a junior high school, a high school, and an universities, it is impossible to acquire English knowledge as well as English interest. Teachers make student take many English tests and evaluate their scores. Students don't like tests and being evaluated. By being evaluated, students don't like English. I think that they are the difficulties of teaching English.

Eigo Kyouikuhou 3 Part 1

Part 1:
1. My favorite English teacher is Mr.Hatai, he was my high school teacher.
2. This teacher was my favorite because he was kind, polite, passionate and energetics. Besides, his
teaching was very easy to understand English. His pronunci ation was very good and he could speak English like a native speaker. So I like English and could understand English very much.
3. As a teacher, my greatest strength will be cheerful and healthy. I think that teacher's attitude influences children's growt h, so it is important for a teacher to be cheerful and healthy.
As an English teacher, my greatest strength will be correct grammar. I studied English grammar very much and like writing English sentence, so I have a few confidences. But as my English grammar have not completed yet, I must study it more and more.
4. As a teacher, my greatest weakness will be a little shyness and timidity. Now although I am not accustomed to standing in front of many people, I want to be accustomed to that gradually.
As an English teacher, my greatest weakness will be pronunciation.Since my pronunciation is not so good, I want to speak English fluently like a native speaker and I want students to acquire good pronunciation.

s?

Hello!

Today it was a warm day, so my heart was exhilarated.
